Tax Cheats Abound

How many TAX CHEATS is President Obama going to hire in his new administration?

On Jan 26 we found that Mr Geithner's Tax Cheating and Evasion, did not disqualify him for the job of overseeing everyone else's taxes.

Now we have Mr. Daschle — who as Senate majority leader enjoyed the use of a car and driver at taxpayer expense — didn’t declare their services on his income taxes, as tax laws require.

During the vetting process to become HHS secretary, Daschle corrected the tax violation, voluntarily paying $101,943 in back taxes plus interest, working with his accountant to amend his tax returns for 2005 through 2007.

Daschle has reimbursed the IRS $31,462 in taxes and interest for tax year 2005; $35,546 for 2006; and $34,935 for 2007, a Daschle spokesperson said, adding that Daschle had asked his accountant to look into the tax implications of the car and driver five months before Obama won the presidency.

It seems to me that these folks are committing TAX FRAUD, cheat on taxes and owe more in taxes than most folks get paid in a year.

Read The Bill

I thought you may want to know where I get all the numbers to fling around.

I see now the bill is at 1,588 pages here before the Senate gets to put their changes in.

Read The Bill

It takes forever to load be patient.

Watch this while you are waiting LOL

The Boys left ... We had a good visit and John and Brendan did several odd jobs around the house, that are not easy for me like change the batteries in the "Fire Alarms" on the tall ceilings, to mention 1. Anyway had a good time and look forward to another visit in the near future.

Here we are wondering if they put it all in there.

Saracuda has their dander up again

Saracuda has their dander up again, this time she went to dinner.

So long as Liberal Democrats fear conservatives enough to hate them the way they hate Sarah Palin, we know there's still hope for this country.

MSNBC's Nora O'Donnell sputter in outrage that Saracuda has the audacity to attend a dinner.

Porkulus Teary Eyed Thought of the Day

Cut and past and edit any part or the whole damn thing and send it to your senator. They are going to vote on the Porkulus Bill next week.

Let them know you do not want $1000 to go to any Illegal alien or $650 million for digital TV coupons or$600 million for new cars for the federal government. You know I could go on for Hrs... Just take a few moments and send a note to your Senator to
VOTE NO on the Porkulus Bill.

Again I ask that you VOTE NO on the Presidents Stimulus Package…..

All House Republicans and 12 Brave Democrats stood up and did what was in the best interest for the Republic……. This Stimulus Package MUST BE DEFEATED!!! The Republic will not survive if it is passed….. With China curbing it’s appetite for U.S. Treasuries, this Republic will now have fewer options left for borrowing money to stave off financial collapse……..

The President claims he will create between 3.3 and 4.1 million jobs….

He wants slightly less than $800 Billion dollars for this package…

Some Democratic leaders say it should be near $1 Trillion dollars…..

Now let us do a little math and see what “We The People” will get for our money….

If the plan creates the maximum number of jobs (4.1 million) for the minimum projected cost of $770 Billion dollars, then the cost of the plan will be roughly $187,800.00 dollars per new job created………

Worst case….. If the plan cost is $1 Trillion dollars as being proposed by some Democrats in Congress and only a mere 3.3 million jobs are created, then the cost of the plan will be roughly $303,000.00 dollars per new job created…….

These jobs to be created by this Stimulus Package will likely be non-professional, entry level or wage jobs with an annual salary only a small fraction of the six figure amounts it will take to create these jobs…………

That’s not all…… Remember, centralized economic planning is impossible to carry out successfully. Central planners do not have the information to make calculations for the economy as a whole or to evaluate the fluctuations in consumer demands and tastes that cause prices and wages to rise and fall….. Only an unhampered free market can do this as both economic theory and past experience have proven……….

When the government decides to create “make work” it is always done at a cost to taxpayers with a net loss in what would have otherwise been productive private income…..

Again I ask you to do your part for the Republic and VOTE NO on this STIMULUS PACKAGE and do your best to influence your colleagues to do likewise………

Just Do it! Socialism is right here..

I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country… but I sense what has occurred in this past election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary surrender of liberty and security in our country...

"No He Can't" by Anne Wortham

So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of the president of the United States , the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over - and that Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America. Shout your glee Harvard, Princeton , Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to - Do Something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine - what little there is left - for the chance to feel good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness."

A Smile for today ;^)

Sex In The Shower?

In a recent survey carried out for leading toiletries firm 'Brut', people from Chicago have proved to be the most likely to have had sex in the shower!

In the survey, 86% of Chicago's elite residents, and government officials (almost all of whom are registered Democrats) said that they have enjoyed sex in the shower.

The other 14% said they hadn't been to prison yet.

Porkulus Teary Eyed Thought of the Day

The PORKULUS Bill passed the house. ;^)
I have not said this in a pretty long time... I am proud of the House Republicans. Every single Republican House Member voted AGAINST the bill.

So here are some thoughts and some fast facts on the Stimulus package. I got the fast facts from a conservative group on the Hill. Concise Conservatives.

As it has been told to me, rather than working with Republicans on a proposal that lets families, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and the self-employed keep more of what they earn to create jobs and help fix our economy, it seems congressional Democrats are prepared to barrel ahead with the same-old, same-old –with more and more aimless spending – at a time when the We the people expect more out of our elected officials in Washington. For a taste of just how badly Capitol Hill Democrats have strayed from the vision of a bipartisan plan to get our economy moving again, take a look at these 20 fast facts about their bloated plan:

1. The $825 billion package slated for a House vote later this week will exceed more than $1.1 trillion when adding in the interest ($300 plus billion) between 2009-2019 to pay for it.

2. The Capitol Hill Democrats’ plan includes funding for contraceptives; regardless of where anyone stands on taxpayer funded contraception, there is no question that it has NOTHING to do with the economy.

3. The legislation could open billions of taxpayer dollars to left-wing groups like the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which has been accused of voter fraud, is underFederal Investigation; and played a key role in the housing meltdown.

4. Here are just a few of the programs and projects that have been included in the House Democrats’ proposal:
• $650 million for digital TV coupons.
• $600 million for new cars for the federal government. How about you and I , do we get a new car?
• $6 billion for colleges/universities – many which have billion dollar endowments.
• $50 million in funding for the National Endowment of the Arts.
• $44 million for repairs to U.S. Department of Agriculture headquarters.
• $200 million for the National Mall, including $21 million for sod.

5. The plan establishes at least 32 new government programs at a cost of over $136 billion. That means more than a third of this plan’s spending provisions are dedicated to creating new government programs.

6. The plan provides spending in at least 150 different federal programs, ranging from Amtrak to the Transportation Security Administration. Is this the “targeted” plan Democratic leaders promised?

7. Even though the legislation contains at least 152 separate spending proposals, the authors of the plan can only say that 34 have any chance at keeping or growing jobs.

8. Just one in seven dollars of an $18.5 billion expenditure on “energy efficiency” and “renewable energy programs” would be spent within the next 18 months.

9. The total cost of this one piece of legislation is almost as much as the annual discretionary budget for the entire federal government.

10. The House Democrats’ bill will cost each and every household $6,700 in additional debt, paid for by our children and grandchildren.

11. The bill provides enough spending – $825 billion – to give every man, woman, and child in America $2,700. $825 billion is enough to give every person in Ohio $72,000.

12. $825 billion is enough to give every person living in poverty in the United States $22,000.

13. Although the House Democrats’ proposal has been billed as a transportation and infrastructure investment package, in actuality only $30 billion of the bill – or three percent – is for road and highway spending. A recent study from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that only 25 percent of infrastructure dollars can be spent in the first year, making the one year total less than $7 billion.

14. Much of the funding within the House Democrats’ proposal will go to programs that already have large, unexpended balances. For example, the bill provides $1 billion for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) – a program that already has $16 billion on hand. States also are sitting on some $9 billion in unused highway funds – funds that Congress is prepared to rescind later this year.

15. All board members of the “Accountability and Transparency Board” created by this legislation are appointees of the President; none will be appointed by Congress.

16. A scant 2.7 percent, or $22.3 billion of the overall package, is dedicated to small business tax relief.

17. The Joint Committee on Taxation estimates that the legislation increases by seven million the number of people who get a check back from the IRS that exceeds what they paid in payroll and income taxes.

18. The “Making Work Pay” tax credit at the center of the plan amounts to $1.37 a day, or about the price of a cup of coffee.

19. Almost one-third of the so-called “tax relief” in the House Democrats’ bill is spending in disguise, meaning that true tax relief makes up only 24 percent of the total package – not the 40 percent that President Obama had requested.

20. $825 billion is just the beginning – many Capitol Hill Democrats want to spend even more taxpayer dollars on their “stimulus” plan. In fact, the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, Rep. David Obey (D-WI), told Roll Call earlier this month, “I would not be surprised to see us go further on some of these programs down the line.”

Spending like this is not going to Save this Country, it is creating Bigger Government.

Exactly what we don't need.

An Afternoon without a Thought

Here we have Good Ole` John a name he got when he and I were in Germany together. We always had some sort of competition while fishing, and he got the name then, somehow. Here he is reading some instructions on my leg. I think now he knows more about the adjustments available than I do. We have the mechanical parts of my leg working very well, now.

Here is Brenden or Mr."B" as you may wish to call him to get his attention. The yellow shirt was yesterday and today is a white one. Similarly on both days though as you can see is a big grin.

Today he had a Smith&Wesson .45 to clean and take apart and put together several times, until he was comfortable and smooth. So far he is enjoying his visit with "Uncle" Pap

Yesterday he worked several hrs on an M14A. He cleaned it paying particular attention to the gas plug. Another story but he had some malfunctions while shooting it and I found the problem in 1 min. Anyway he took it apart and put it together several times.

Over his right shoulder is a Chinese anti-aircraft gun sight for a set of twin 50 cals, I got out of the A Shau Valley.

First President with NO Executive experience

Who really won here?
This is a victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher
Jeremiah Wright, the US mainstream media who abandoned any sense of
objectivity long ago. Also Europeans who despise America largely because they
depend on her. A victory for comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would
not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups, like anti gun or
pro abortion, SAID, to mention a few…

A victory for Obama-worshipers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the
cult. A man who has done little with his life, however has written about his
achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a
marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style
over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.

A victory for Hollywood , the most dysfunctional community in the world.
Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros, Moore, and Sarandon. Victory for
those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For
those who settle for group think and herd mentality and sheep rather than those who
fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager
political fashion.

Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have
already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced,
without realizing the extraordinary irony of that statement. Like most
liberal zealots, the Obama worshipers constantly speak of Fox and
Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are
drastically liberal and anti-conservative.

Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be
censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and
open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by
bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition.

A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise
children than the family, for those who prefer teachers' unions to
teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is
sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as
quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity.

A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to
the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure,
unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A
victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists
and urban snobs.

This is a victory for Socialism. The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. However under the name of ‘liberalism’ 'Hope' and 'Change' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without even knowing how it happened. –

My my my, .. This may well happen in the very near future.

For the next Week or So

This is a very good picture of my knee.

I had not seen my "Prosthetist" (Proths) in over a year. There were no problems with the "Operation" of my knee and leg. There were some problems with the fit of the leg, but not terrible. Anyway yesterday went for a visit. I need a new upper piece the "Socket" of the leg. However I was explaining a "Kinda" problem... Should have kept my mouth shut!! Since the adjustments we made helter skelter now I have a MAJOR problem with the knee.

I had the worst fall I have had since I've had a prosthetic right there in his office. Then we kinda fixed it. Off I went.

Got home all confident again. I then head for the mail box and have slant down on the driveway and on third step down DOWN I go. That was third or forth worst fall I've had. So I got mail then went in the house.

I got the instructions on the knee while I was at the Proths office. He did not have one but he downloaded one off line. Something I could not do, I've tried, but I am not a registered Prosth. So I began to read. Made an adjustment. Tried the slope again fell on last step before the sidewalk. I was ready now tho and managed to save the fall and recover.

After 3 attempts I set all the adjustments to "Default" settings. In the instructions it says after default there are at least 3 more adjustments to be made before I leave the Proths office. LOL I am home remember. 2 of the adjustments require a Proths to watch from my side "A side view approx 3 mtr away" to watch when the knee breaks in relation to my step and foot leaving the ground and foot impacting the ground. I wont wast time explaining the other 2 views minimum to leave the Proths office in the first palce. Well I am pissed!!
So today I go back and we shall do it right.

I have fallen 2 more times here in the house and I am being very careful. I have fallen more in the last 2 days than I have since I lost the leg.

Damn I was doing so well before too. I got company coming too.

Well off to my appointment.

Posting from here on out to Fri of next week may be a tad light. A great friend, from Reno and old Army buddy, is coming to visit. He, John is bringing his youngest born, Brenden, often called 'Mr B", with him. His son is a first year college student. I will get plenty of pictures, and try to post a couple a day.

Obamanized ;^) LOL

Friday's Though

Webster,... Hell the way I see it Taxes are Voluntary

according to Harry Reid, our tax system is voluntary:
(Harry is NV Sen and the Majority Leader).

OHHHHhhh Shit it's only voluntary if you are a powerful Democrat like Charles Rangel, the tax cheat who oversees the committee that writes tax laws, or Tim Geithner, the even bigger tax cheat who will soon be in charge of the IRS.

Is it Friday yet?

First Gay Mayor of Mayor City Molests Teenage Boy

Obama isn't the only historic first in the news. Portland's Sam Adams is the first publicly homosexual mayor of a major city. He recently admitted to sexually molesting an underage intern.

You never heard the story? That could be because Adams is a Democrat, and the child he molested is a boy — so most of the reporting has been local.

Adams also admitted to lying to the public about his perverted relationship with the improbably named Beau Breedlove, who was 17 at the time, and to inducing the kid to lie too. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

Thank You Mr President

Thank You Mr. President

Morning Stroll and a Thought

Wow yesterday we had a beautiful, beautiful day!! I went for a walk in the park on El Camino, and there were several other folks enjoying the park as I was. It was over 70* and a very light breeze from time to time. We have at least another week of the same predicted.

I like that park because it has a hill that is a bit tough for me. Anyway I sprinted around and had a grand walk! I walked 2.4 mi at a new record pace. However in doing so I have hurt the front potion of my residual limb.

There are two things in play here maybe even three, I think. The first and most important is when I am in a go fast mode I am bringing my prosthesis forward pretty fast and my thigh muscle moves to the right of the end of my bone. Then there is a very thin layer of skin and fat between the end of my leg bone and the liner of my prosthesis.

The second thing is after setting a 2 mi record for me I went up and around the hill 2 times. That tends to make my bone push on the prosthetic almost every step. The weather was so nice and I was excited about speed record, even the effort to scoot up the hill was less than ever before. I just didn't recognize or feel what was happening on the end of my leg bone.

The third thing I think may be going on is I think I need a major adjustment on my inner liner of my prosthesis, or a new one. I think I go too deep into it from time to time and need a way to shim it. Or I need a new liner. Also I need to adjust the knee, I need to stiffen its movement.

Well as I said the weather is super so I need to get out in it. I will finish this eval another day.

Well I went on that little stroll and found how really stiff and painful some parts are. I got a comment from a friend Chesse~ I had already called to get both an appointment at Prosthetic guy, and VA at the place you go to get an upgrade if ya warrant 1. Also they assign you to a Prothetist. I have a small situation (?) with that in that I am also working with TriCare for Life, and will get assigned a Prothetist guy/gal from TriCare too. I don't want things to get too complicated.

The VA appointment will be last Thur of April, this co-insides with my physical decision in regards to my Bike.

And The Beat Goes On ...?

Mayor of Baltimore, Shelia Dixon a Democrat, was indicted yesterday on charges of Perjury, theft and misconduct surrounding Gift Cards and donations intended for "needy families" but that were allegedly found to be used by the Mayor for personal purchases according to the Baltimore Sun. The Sun also point out that Dixon, is "the city's first sitting mayor to be criminally indicted." In Baltimore, that is a Real achievment. Charm City's most shining moment prior was whenHBO gave us "the Wire". It was a smash hit with its loyal following due to the gritty true to life portrayal of the corruption and devastion that flowed throughout City Hall. Now I'm just waiting to hear that Dixon took a meeting with "Stringer Bell".

However because she is a Democrat like Timothy Geithner Obama's selected Secretary of Treasury, who is an admitted Tax evader. Then we have Democrat Attorney General Nominee Eric Holder who pardoned Mark Rich and 16 Terrorists convicted of muder along with a list of other charges.

It's really not a big deal. Or it is just a slight hick up...

Well I am on a Roll

The House Spending Bill is out. It is very depressing to say the least!! I will provide the highlights.

I still can not enter a correct link here for some damn reason. I am following directions. Oh well you would think by now I could figure this out. Here is another try. Just copy paste in new window if you want to see the hole spending bill.

http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/PressSummary01-15-09.pdf

A copy of the $825 billion spending plan outlined by the Democratic-controlled House Appropriations Committee.

The highlights of this bill, allegedly crafted to save us from the Wall Street crisis but is obviously being used to fund every hail Mary liberal, entitlement cause under the sun, includes:

(Note, anything I put it quotes is because A. it comes directly from the memo and B. it's so vague and/or ridiculous I don't know what it actually means. And, no this is NOT the full list. This is a PORTION. )

-$6 billion to weatherize "modest income homes."
-$6 billion to provide internet in "underserved" areas
-$6 billion for "higher education modernization."
-$20 billion in health information technology to "prevent medial mistakes."
-$20 billion to increase food stamp funding
-$87 billion to provide a "temporary" increase in Medicaid funding
-$300 million to provide rebates for people who purchase Energy Star products
-$600 million for the federal government to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$400 million for state and local governments to buy brand new energy efficient cars
-$2.4 billion for carbon capture demonstration programs
-$350 million to research using energy efficient technology on military bases
-$300 million for grants and loans to state and local governments for projects that reduce diesel emissions, "benefiting public health and reducing global warming"
-$500 million for energy efficient manufacturing demonstration projects.
-$400 million to build major research facilities "that perform cutting edge science"
-$1.5 billion for expanding "good jobs in biomedical research"
-$400 million "to put more scientists to work doing climate change research"
-$600 million for satellite development and acquisitions, including climate sensors and climate modeling.
-$250 million "to address long-term economic distress in urban industrial cores and rural areas distributed based on need and ability to create jobs and attract private investment."
-$650 million to continue the coupon program to enable American households to convert from analog television transmission to digital transmission.
-$300 million for the National Wildlife Refuges and National Fish Hatcheries
-$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
-$400 million for "ready-to-go habitat restoration projects"
-$2 billion to provide child care services for an additional 300,000 children in low-income families while their parents go to work.
-$120 million to provide subsidized community service jobs to an additional 24,000 low-income older Americans
-$1.5 billion to help local communities build and rehabilitate low-income housing using green technologies.
-$500 million to rehabilitate and improve energy efficiency at some of the over 42,000 housing units maintained by Native American housing programs
-$10 million for "rural, high-need areas to undertake projects using sustainable and energy-efficient building and rehabilitation practices"

Someone tell me how much of that you understand. Then tell me that you agree that the Gov. can spend your hard earned money better than you can.

Whew !! LOL I feel better

Bitch Day

Someone please inform me, why a deputy attorney general who pardoned Mark Rich and 16 terrorist bombers should be promoted to attorney general.

Then please explain the logic in selecting a tax dodger for the Treasury Secretary. I totally RESENT this request for appointment! I have to pay my taxes on time, and he decides to pay past taxes after he finds out his apparent appointment.
I say again I RESENT this request!

Obama's Global Warming Czarina Carol Browner Makes Money on Offsets
Communists do have one thing in common with capitalists: they like money. Take Carol Browner for example. Obama's choice for Global Warming Czarina is an actual Marxist, but that doesn't mean she's above making a buck off the global warming hoax, which she will soon be in a position to prop up with all the force and stolen riches of our monstrously bloated federal government.

http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/01/surprise-obamas-climate-czar-is-board.html

Browner is a board member of APX, a leading carbon offset trading company.

http://www.apx.com/news/pr-Carol-Browner-Joins-APX-Board.asp

Here we were thinking no one could be more disqualified by conflict of interest than impending Secretary of State than Shrillary Rotten.

There's more to the climate change farce than crippling our economy to pave the way for socialism, while granting unprecedented power over every aspect of our lives to evil bureaucrats like Browner. There's also money to be made — but only by a few, at the expense of all the rest.

Is this the kind of Change we are to look forward to?

Another Beautiful Day

Yesterday's Hi was over 65* we will have much the same for the next 10 or so days. We will have another cold spell but it is so nice to have a warm ya up break.

So with that little short message I am going out for a stroll in the sun.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Morning Thought

Yesterday I went for a stroll at the park over at Allen and Craig. You could not look for ask for any prettier day for a stroll. When I got out of the car it was 67* and when I finished 5600 step, 3.1 miles, it was 69* when I got back in car.

As I sat on the park benches for my breaks, I day dreamed of motorcycle riding. There was a light breeze from West, but it was <10 mph I was amazed I did not hear more M/C going up and down Craig. I know I would have been 2 years ago.

So every time I rested in the warm sun on a park bench I just hopped on the old Iron Mule and went to Indian Springs, or the Apex as I used to on a day like that.

I went to get a hair cut and then a gym. Trying by the way to get permission to use 24 hr Fitness's whirl pool. 24hr fitness @ Craig and Clayton will not let me in their pool unless I have a certified lifeguard buddy with me.

So now I have been trying to get permission to use their whir pool, but I can't seem to go there at the same time as the Manager. So I have been going to the gym at one of the NLV Activity Centers. Real nice folks and the price is right but no whirl pool. Sure would like to get my right leg in one!

So anyway back to the LV weather and riding. I am trying to get strong enough to ride again safely. I can make the bike ready. Today will be another 65*+ great incentive to work hard.

My real dilemma is do I want to ride? A dangerous past time even in the best of shape. To add a significant disability could be very dangerous. You need your attention to your driving, not on the pain in right leg or whether or not your left foot would fall off the peg. Then you have to stop somewhere.

So what I have done is set May as a time I need to make my mind up one way or the other. So for now I am just normal daily physical and mental maintenance.
