With economy in shambles, Congress gets a raise !!!
A crumbling economy, more than 2 million constituents who have lost their jobs this year, and congressional demands of CEOs to work for free did not convince lawmakers to freeze their own pay.
Instead, they will get a $4,700 pay increase, amounting to an additional $2.5 million that taxpayers will spend on congressional salaries, and watchdog groups are not happy about it.
How come we do NOT hear this in the news!! Those bastards are the ones caused the damn problem in the first place and now they get a raise?!!.

You know Pappy, my cell phone is still the high desert area exchange...I even though I now live in the East. I got four automatic phone calls from the school board in Lancaster CA.. 2 were in English, warning me about school closings...the other two were in Spanish. I guess the same warnings...thing is, I don't have, and never have had kids registered in schools in CA. So I wonder, how much money it cost them to acess the phone numbers, and call everyone who has a phone in that school district? More wasted money.
Ches, For goodness sakes don't get me started on School Waste!!!
Lets just grin and enjoy the holidays for a few days.
