Ted Kennedy:

The Senator of Sleaze who was a drunk sexual bully… and left a young woman to die

After listening to the mawkish whitewash last night on All TV, I was quite surprised today to find this in the Daily Mail, it wasn’t the only commentary written in the Mail on this subject.

I do not gloat in his death even though I did not like the man. There was nothing to like or admire in my opinion.

Anyway, this commentary says enough and says it far better then I ever could. As does the commentary by Ruth Dudley Edwards, link below.

Charlie Laurence, Commentary, long but ....

Senator Edward ‘Ted’ Kennedy stood for sleaze. Bloated and drunken, he used his standing in the Kennedy clan to chase vulnerable women - which brought his dream of reaching the White House to a shameful end.

He was the youngest of the four Kennedy brothers, and by far the longest lived.

Incredibly, he was in line to inherit his brother John F. Kennedy’s legendary presidency, but his chances were dashed following the drowning of the pretty, young campaign assistant Mary Jo Kopechne.

Forever known as the Chappaquiddick Incident after the Massachusetts island where it took place, the scandal in 1969 broke the Kennedy grip on the White House.

A drunk Ted had been driving back from a party to the family ‘compound’ on Martha’s Vineyard when he veered off a bridge and into a deep tidal dyke.
Drowned: Mary Jo Kopechne was killed after Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge with her inside

Mary Jo was in the back seat and, while he claimed he was just giving her a lift back to her hotel, it was widely thought that he had picked her up for sex. Kennedy swam ashore to save himself, but left Mary Jo to drown - in fact, it was even worse than that.

It was nine hours before he reported the accident. In the meantime, he walked back to his motel, complained to the manager about a noisy party, took a shower, went to sleep, ordered newspapers when he woke up and spoke to a friend and two lawyers before finally calling the police.

Divers later estimated that if he had called them immediately, they would have had time to pull out Mary Jo. She had not drowned, but had survived in an air pocket inside the car - she was asphyxiated only when the oxygen ran out several hours later.

The rest is at the link above.

I Have a Question

Where is it in the Constitution where the country is required to provide cradle to grave health care? I’ve read the document, and I don’t see it. Maybe our pro-health care folks could give us a hand on finding it.

Four or five miles NE of town.

A littler thunder storm and look what happens

Drill baby Drill

I see George Soros is the largest stock owner in the company that is doing the oil drilling in Brazil.

Who just got 2 Billion from Obama to drill in Brazil? HMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Drill in Brazil, ... not in CA or Alaska.

Wouldn't want any new jobs in California or Alaska.

Is it Friday yet ?

CASH FOR CLUNKERS

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish, and my paint job is getting a little dull. But that's not the worst of it. My headlights are out of focus, and it's especially hard to see things up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or laugh, either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires.

CASH FOR CLUNKERS..........I QUALIFY - How about You?

Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely,

in a well preserved body.

But rather to skid in sideways,

totally worn out,

shouting: "Holy shit... What a Ride"!!

Govt Health Care

Change you can believe in

Hell, back in 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada for tax evasion and, as required by law, tried to run it...

They failed and it closed.

Now we are trusting the economy of our country, our banking system, our auto industry and possibly our health plans to the same nit-wits who couldn't make money running a whore house and selling whiskey!"

Obama Administration: Depressed and Disabled Veterans Should Consider Forgoing Medical Care

Depression, disability, and "being a financial burden" could constitute "Lebensunwerte Leben" (Life Unworthy of Life) in U.S. Government end of life planning document.

Is it Friday yet ?

Let me get this straight...

Obama's new health care plan will be--

written by a committee whose chair says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that hasn't read it,

signed by a president who can't articulate it (and who smokes!),
funded by a treasury chief who forgot to pay his taxes,
overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and
financed by a country that is nearly broke.

Now, what could possibly go wrong?

Tuesday Trot LOL ...

I got a late start on morning stroll this morning so I took some pictures on a couple of the plants I see in this little park. I go to this park often.

I have an appointment with Physical Therapy today to do a little work on stairs so I have been working on them every other day for a week or two.

I got em down pretty good!!

Anyway we will also tune up my knee with the computer and see if I need any adjustments on the internal computer and hydrological assistance system.

This leg keeps on impressing me. This thing is just plain amazing. I will be walking along not paying attention, just like a normal person LOL then absentmindedly stumble. That would automatically mean with my other knee a drastic fall.

I don't want to JINX myself but I have recovered from every stumble. I can NOT figure out how the knee knows to go into the "HELP PAP" mode, but the damn thing does, and I have recovered from every stumble, and misstep.

You can see the whole thing here. Several different stages of bloom, and nibble.

Must be tasty even the green foliage part gets eaten. They don't eat it so bad that it stops growing and blooming.

A tiny nibble on a couple peddles.

This is what they look like after they get nibbled by the bugs.

They must taste pretty good too. They really tear em up pretty good.

Lots of bees out this morning. I am a little late starting this morning must have given them more time to get busy.

This one is a honey bee. I bet there were 30 or so of those bees on this bush this morning.

Look at his/her leg. You think he/she can make it back home carrying all the extra weight?

Check him/her out

Ok just got back from my morning stroll. I am doing very well with my new leg.

I can now keep up with a normal walk speed. I just can't go very damn far without stopping.

I went down 6 flights of stairs 10 times yesterday doing it just like you do, foot over foot. I rested each time and took the elevator back up to the top. But I did it and most of the time just as fast as you would do.

I am going to see another vascular guy here soon. He is a pioneer in cold laser vascular work. I have talked with him and I am defiantly a candidate for his work.

The neuropathy nerve stuff in my right foot is the only hold up.

Whew!!!

And finally Breakfast...

In the little bowel is fat free pudding with a few slices of over ripe banana.

The cup on top left has a tart peach in it.

History, Socilized Medicine

Evidently, President Obama didn't learn such things at Harvard. Perhaps instead of giving other people iPods loaded with his own speeches, he should watch and truly listen to the wise words of those who came before him.

Saturday ... Mischief

I will stop here again soon and take some more pictures a bit more carefully. They have several pretty cool.

A little Coffee shop not far from house. Looks like it has a pretty good restaurant in there too. I will check it out soon.

Wow I would have loved to hat the yellow one when I was a kid.

Little coffee break LOL

C-Leg update 3

I will ad a C-Leg update too here...

I took 1 hell of a tumble yesterday. First and only one I have had. I have been hustling around on this thing.
Anyway I was working on stairs. I have done several 1 and 2 step stairs 1 foot over the other, I was getting pretty cocky LOL anyway this was a seven stepper and NO guard rails. I will take pics next time I stop there.

Well I started on second from bottom did that a couple times and said to my self well hell knock it out.

I am on the top a foot or 2 from the right side the way I am looking at stairs, and off I step. I step with left foot land squarely on step and off with right foot to second step and left leg does not bend.... So the rest of the ride was kinda like a pole vault to the bottom. Right foot never got contact till step 5 or so and I am about parallel with Mother Earth.

Quite the crash.

With my old leg I always crashed on the mechanical knee. It is damn tough to say the least!! I have tested how tough it was several times.

So this was quite uncomfortable and scary.!!! No more step training without a rail.

I have been doing very well on grass and rock slopes.

Here is the leg in the battery charging mode. You can see a yellow and green light. When both lights are on as it is in picture the it is below 50%. Then as it fills up when the yellow light is flashing then it is over 50% full. The yellow get real weak in the flashing mode you know it is about full. Then when yellow light goes out it is full, and ready to go.

When the battery has 2 hrs of heavy work load left it give 3 beeps and a vibrate. When it gets to 1/2 hr it give 5 beeps and a vibrate. When it goes tits up it gives 10 beeps and a long vibrate .... then goes into safe mode. That is pretty damn stiff.

We set that when we were hooked to computer first time.

Cat Grass

Plant in three or four inches of soft fertile wet room, temperature soil.

Cover with plastic and a lid or brown paper bag. Put in the spare bathroom, and Poof

A couple days later and you have this.

Four days to go, this is two days after planting.

The right conditions and it all happens pretty quick.

Three days to go...

Both of these are the same day. I took the plastic off for a few seconds to take the picture.

Two days to go... Looks pretty good already

Here a week after planting we have "Cat Grass" ready to go.

In with the new out with the old...

Here is the whole reason for the process...
