Lies Lies Lies

Note this is History it happened week before last

On the House floor
By all appearances, the House is about to vote on a very long bill of which it has no completed official copy.
Texas Republican Reps. Joe Barton and Louie Gohmert have just asked the chair whether there exists a complete, updated copy of the Waxman-Markey carbon-cap bill.
"If a bill for which there is no copy were to actually pass this body," Barton asked, "could the bill without a copy be sent to the Senate for its consideration?"
Through a series of parliamentary inquiries, the Republicans learned that the 300-plus page managers’ amendment, added to the bill last night in the House Rules Committee, has not even been been integrated with the official copy of the 1,090-page bill at the House Clerk’s desk, let alone in any other location. The two documents are side-by-side at the desk as the clerk reads through the instructions in the 300 page document for altering the 1,090 page document.
But they cannot be simply combined, because the amendment contains 300 pages of items like this: "Page 15, beginning line 8, strike paragraph (11)…" How many members of Congress do you suppose have gone through it all to see how it changes the bill?
Global Warming is apparently so urgent that we can’t even wait until members of Congress know what they’re voting on.
No wonder we were unable to find a copy of this bill online. Apparently, there is no complete copy anywhere.

Yet it passed anyway.

Which means that Congress is not just passing bills that have not been read by anyone.

They are now passing bills that haven’t even been written.

Now that the Senate has 60 seats thanks to the folks of Minnesota.

I guess a guy like Franken fits right in with those folks.

That means they can cram that bill right down our throats.

All in the name of Global Warming.

Well it is 4th of July weekend, never mind have a great weekend!!!

We will start to whine when gas gets to $7.00 or $8.00 and you can't afford electricity because America will not be able to make electricity with coal.

Then on top of that we got a bunch of Gangster Government

A Prayer for his safe return

FOX News...
Insurgents have captured an American soldier in eastern Afghanistan after he walked off post with his three Afghan counterparts, officials said Thursday.

Spokeswoman Capt. Elizabeth Mathias said the soldier disappeared Tuesday. The U.S. military is offering a $25,000 reward to any Afghan national for information about the soldier's whereabouts.

"We have all available resources out there looking for him and hopefully providing for his safe return," Mathias said.

Obama Supports Dictators

From the Washington Post, the Obama administration has come down on the wrong side of the troubles in Honduras recently.

"President Obama said yesterday that the military ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was illegal and could set a "terrible precedent.."

The facts do not support Mr. Obama's statement.

As seen in the Miami Herald, the Army arrested President Manuel Zelaya, as he was making an unconstitutional power grab.

"His actions have been repudiated by the country's supreme court, its congress, its attorney-general, its chief human-rights advocate, all its major churches, its main business association, his own political party (which recently began debating an inquiry into Zelaya's sanity) and most Hondurans..."

The Army acted on the Supreme Court's orders - and there aren't many in Honduras who would disagree with what they did, morally OR legally.

Obama has joined with Castro and Chavez in condemning the act of the Honduran people - the act of defending their constitution. Although what Obama has said doesn't surprise me, I knew he was a raving leftist, but it does really piss me off.

As Mike points out - Obama didn't have much to say in support of the Iranian people courageously standing up to a despotic and brutal government.

He was pretty quick to condemn Hondurans for exercising their duty to uphold their constitution.

Some Odds and Ends

What Have We Learned in 2,064 Years?

“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.” - Cicero 55 BC

Another of the TAX BILL that no one gives a shit about...

Eight Republicans Screwed You On Cap And Tax

The House voted on the cap and trade bill today bringing it closer to reality. It will have a tougher time in the Senate but it will probably eventually pass. This was a big Democratic bill and the agenda for this is strictly on the Democrats even though a number of them voted no today. They are people who are worried about the next election. It was a given that Democrats would largely support this bill but it would not have passed if eight Republicans had not defected. The bill passed 219-212 and would have failed 220-211 has the eight Republicans not voted for it. This bill will raise the cost of energy. People will not be able to afford their energy and all increases on companies will be passed on to the consumer. If it passes you have these eight Republicans to thank.

8 Turncoats !!!

This is a good one I never finished working on....

Absentee Senator

Minnesota has about finish all their vote count cheating.

The cheat team's real goldmine were absentee ballots, thousands of which the Franken team claimed had been mistakenly rejected.
The Franken team ginned up an additional 1,350 absentees from Franken-leaning counties.
By the time this treasure hunt ended, Mr. Franken was ahead by 312 votes.

They finally got what the wanted into the empty Senate seat.
