Couple of Fridays ago the House passed the Tax and Trade Billin the name of saving the planet at the expense of every tax paying America. They did it without reading the bill. As I posted before they could not have read it because it was not printed yet. In the middle of the night undercover of darkness and silence a few greenie weenies added 300 pages of BS at 3 am.

I am outraged. What is getting to me is, why more of you are not outraged? It seems to me that it is not too much to ask that the folks that make laws on us at least read the damn things.
So I wonder, at what point does the general populous stand up and say that is enough.

Tuesday's Thought
As the late Adrian Rogers once said,
"you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
I Got this from my great friend in Panama. She has had a couple "Earth Quakes" wiggle and wake her of late. Lets pray the worst is over and she stays safe. Here is my friend Anita with her husband of several decades Mike!
This Professor is a Genius
An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted
in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the end of any nation. Friday Ods n Ends
This climate bill has nothing to do with saving the planet or the polar bears. The problems that this legislation claims to address do not exist. Regulating our behavior and limiting our freedom will not have any effect on the climate. It is a pure power and money grab…

Pentagon health experts are urging Defense Secretary Robert Gates to ban the use of tobacco by troops and end its sale on military property, a change that could dramatically alter a culture intertwined with smoking.
Jack Smith, head of the Pentagon’s office of clinical and program policy, says he will recommend that Gates adopt proposals by a federal study that cites rising tobacco use and higher costs for the Pentagon and Department of Veterans Affairs as reasons for the ban.
The study by the Institute of Medicine, requested by the VA and Pentagon, calls for a phased-in ban over a period of years, perhaps up to 20. “We’ll certainly be taking that recommendation forward,” Smith says.
A tobacco ban would confront a military culture, the report says, in which “the image of the battle-weary soldier in fatigues and helmet, fighting for his country, has frequently included his lit cigarette.”
Also, the report said, troops worn out by repeated deployments often rely on cigarettes as a “stress reliever.” The study found that tobacco use in the military increased after the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan began.
There are arguments to be made in favor of a ban, of course. Not only in terms of the need to maintain a fit force but also the long-term health care costs that the federal government may incur. Balanced against that is freedom, not something the military is known to care much about for its troops despite fighting for same as its mission statement.

I think it should be required reading for every high school student in America.
I was blessed to go to a high school in VA before the "LIBs" changed the history books, to look like they believe history should have been, Not what it was.
Early American history was very important, I think because so much of it happened locally. NY PA VA... In high School I went on field trips to PA,NY and VA all pertaining to the writing of the Constitution and the Building of America.
All of my sisters went to High school in CA. The early American history they learned was considerably different than mine. What they learned of the Constitution they learned in grade school or after they got out of High School.

Sunday Stroll and a Thought
Nice stroll today, was very cool considering the Hi temps we have had the last few days.

Whether or not Barack Obama is a "natural-born" American (as required by the Constitution to be president) can be resolved by Obama's answering two simple questions.
Perhaps Fox News' brave correspondent Major Garrett, who yesterday bluntly asked Obama why it took him "so long" to criticize Iran's vicious crackdown on its people, will pose these straight-forward queries at the next White House press conference:
I have sent this to several News organizations to see if I get a nibble or a question...
1) "How did you (one year after becoming a teenager) arrive at age 20 in New York City in early June 1981 – without the price of a hotel room in your pocket, according to your own book – suddenly come up with the airfare for a round-the-world trip one month later?"
2) "Once you were on a plane, shuttling between the U.S. , Indonesia , and Pakistan , what passport did you offer as you passed through each country's Customs and Immigration?"
President Obama's answers would make the simmering but media-ignored debate over his citizenship disappear. They also might make Obama himself disappear. Here's why:
Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A: Yes, by his own admission.
Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities: 1) He traveled with a U.S. passport; 2) a British passport, or 3) an Indonesian passport. Which is it?
Q: Is it possible Obama traveled with a U.S. passport in 1981?
A: No way. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981. If Obama insists with a straight face that he carried a U.S. passport, he must be asked a final question: "Who in the State Department or other U.S. government agency under Ronald Reagan authorized you to break the law against traveling to Pakistan ?"
Take a guess why I know that...
Conclusion (unless Reagan personally blessed the wandering young Marxist From Parts Unknown):
When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British or Indonesian passport.
A British passport would prove he was born in Kenya August 4, 1961, not in Hawaii as he claims. An Indonesian passport would indicate he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian stepfather in 1967.
This is very interesting, and worth the time to watch.
