After slipping an anti gun bill in to Omulus bill.

Then

Quietly taking 2 million of the best oil producing Acres away from the oil companies.

Then...

Taking over GM who have only 11 vehicles that make the company money, out of the 27 they build, "HE" has told them to STOP BUILDING those, fired the boss, took his money and put a guy in there that will follow his orders.

Then taking a gang of 500 to Europe for a short Vacation and bad mouth America...

If you have 10 minutes it is worth the time...

We have complained in the last couple weeks about the Bailout Bill. 1,500 pages and not a 1 senator had read it all but signed it as did the President.

This 10 minutes should be required viewing by ALL. So we all can see what we have done to our nation in the last couple elections.

As I said Friday...
“Power Corrupts, and absolute power
Corrupts Absolutely.”

Where will we go from here?

“Power Corrupts, and absolute power Corrupts Absolutely.”

'Turbo Tax’ Tiny Tim Geithner is asking Congress for the unlimited power and right to seize any private business that they deem necessary whether or not the have received any bailout money or not and have had any involvement whatsoever with the government.

To put it bluntly, the government is asking for ABSOLUITE POWER!

If Washington bureaucrats decide they don’t like your business plan or the way you run it, they will simply seize the company.

Even the threat of such unlimited power makes my blood boil, and should worry any business owner.

We do have one Warrior working hard to insure the Government does not get that kind of power. Rep. Michele Bachmann

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”

Is anyone else worried about that?

Where have all the Americans gone?

WANTED: President of large country on the verge of adopting socialism. Need to take country over the top. Rudimentary knowledge of economic terms and foreign policy preferred, but not required. Ability to articulate grandiose ideas in English language a plus, but not mandatory if applicant can fake it sufficiently to impress ignorant voters.

Must look good in a suit, and be willing to shamelessly pander to desperate, needy people.

After that Pres news conf I thought I would drop him a line

Dear President Obama,

Thank you for helping my neighbors with their mortgage payments. You know the one's down the street who in the good times refinanced their house several times and bought SUV's, ATV's, RV"s, a pool, a big screen, two Wave Runners and a Harley. But I was wondering, since

I am paying my mortgage and theirs, could you arrange for me to borrow the Harley now and then?

E.W. Papin

P.S. They also need help with their credit cards, when do you want me to start making those payments?

P.P.S. I almost forgot - they didn't file their income tax return this year.

Should I go ahead and file for them or will you be appointing them to cabinet posts?

Obama secretly ends program that let pilots carry guns

After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings.

Now President Obama has quietly ended the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.

Have we mixed up our M's,-n- B's-n- T's ???

Numbers!!!

Really Big Big Numbers….

I’m still fascinated with the outrage that the AIG bonuses have generated. I can understand that it looks like a lot of money. But lets write two numbers down for a minute,

$165,000,000
$170,000,000,000.

Now the second number is 1000x larger than the first as a reasonable approximation. But people seem to be completely unaware of the second number even though the first number is totally dependent on the second number. That may sound a bit cryptic, so let me put it another way.

Because the Federal Government has given AIG $170,000,000,000.
AIG can now hand out 0.1% of that money, $165,000,000, in retention bonuses.

My question is,...
If the number that is 1000x times smaller than the actual bailout of AIG is causing all this fuss why aren’t people in the streets in huge numbers demonstrating against the $170,000,000,000 bailout?

It is, after all, a bailout. A way of propping up a company that was a key player in bringing about the financial crisis that also is a significant if not the main reason for the recession that is putting people out of work.

It doesn’t stop there!!!.
President Obama has his $750,000,000,000 stimulus package.
If there is only 1% waste, fraud and abuse (a laughably small number given how fast the government is going to try and spend it — think of the money for Katrina aid that went to strip club trips) that is still $7,500,000,000 that is wasted.

1% Waste = $7,500,000,000
That number is 45.5x the size of the AIG bailouts.
Where is the outrage?

My only conclusion is that most people are innumerate. When a number gets too big they just can’t grasp the magnitude of that number. Here is one way of trying to get a grasp on the magnitude of these numbers.

If you took 170,000,000,000 one dollar bills and stacked them one on top of each other (not end-to-end) it would be 11,537 miles high. If you took 750,000,000,000 one dollar bills and did the same thing it would be 50,899 miles long, or it could go around the earth twice at the equator.

Why people are worried about a stack of one dollar bills that is only 11 miles high beats me.

Oh My Heck! Chris Dodd was the source of the AIG bonuses!

How funny is that? After lambasting AIG management for the last few days for allowing the bonuses to be paid out, it turns out that it was actually a Senator who added the language to the bailout package!

Senate Banking committee Chairman Christopher Dodd told CNN's Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer Wednesday that he was responsible for adding the bonus loophole into the stimulus package that permitted AIG and other companies that received bailout funds to pay bonuses.

On Tuesday, Dodd denied to CNN that he had anything to do with the adding of that provision.

And what is even funnier, he lied about it!

So, how does Congress impose an onerous tax on bonuses they actually legislated?

Lawmakers outraged over the AIG bonuses have told the people who got the money to watch out -- the government will get it back one way or the other, even if it means taxing the heck out of their paychecks.

But legal scholars say Congress will have a tough time defending itself in court if it goes down that road.

Especially since the Democrats all voted for the bill. If they didn't want the bonuses, why did they vote for the bill? (And I would think that saying they didn't actually read what they voted for, isn't a good excuse :-)

Richard Holbrooke and AIG
I’ve never cared much for Richard Holbrooke. He’s a pompous ass who has rightly and repeatedly been denied the secretary of state’s post.

But there two bits of news worth mentioning on Holbrooke: (1) He was on the board at AIG in March 2008, “
when those bonuses were decided“; and (2) he’s been identified as one of a number of special recipients of Countrywide Financial mortgages, the same loan product that Senator Christopher Dodd received.

Obama’s poll numbers are falling, and as the administration looks increasingly corrupt and incompetent, the ground is being steadily prepared for a decisive repudiation of the Democrats by 2012.

See also, “
Inside AIG-FP, Feeling the Public’s Wrath” (via Memeorandum), and also, “Dodd’s Deep Doo-Doo.”

At some point, you have to ask how all of these Washington insiders could have been so shocked and amazed about the AIG bonuses when they’re all bedhopping with these firms. We’re supposed to believe that Tim Geithner, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, who was heavily involved in the original AIG bailout last fall, was utterly clueless about the bonuses. William Cohen, a former Republican senator from Maine and then Secretary of Defense in the Clinton Administration, another Washington insider, was on the board. We’re supposed to believe that sop many of President Obama’s administrative nominees had income tax problems, just mistakenly.

Our friends on the left were very busy telling us just how brilliant our new president is, and how he would run an administration of competence. What I’m seeing in these first two months is an administration of people who think that they’re so smart and that everyone else in the country is just dirt stupid.

I guess I will enter the AIG Blunder

Now that Barney Frank has finished his ‘dog and pony show’ with AIG’s chief and his continual demands for names of those AIG’s employees who received bonus let’s take this one step farther.

AIG filled the campaign coffers with $564,614.00 to members of both political parties in 2008.

Should we now not demand that these hypocrites return this money to the American Tax Payers!

The complete HYPOCRITE LIST can be seen here.

Here are the top recipients from THE HYPOCRITE LIST

Obama………………………………$101,332
John McCain………………………$59,499

Bonuses Expected at Fannie, Freddie

More financial companies that are being propped up with federal money are facing political heat over bonus payments to executives.

Fannie Mae is due to pay retention bonuses of as much $470,000 to $611,000 this year to some executives despite enormous losses at the government-backed mortgage company. Fannie’s main rival, Freddie Mac, also plans to pay such bonuses but hasn’t yet provided details.

Fannie’s bonuses are smaller than ones paid by American International Group Inc. that have caused a political firestorm for that company. Seventy-three AIG executives got retention payments of $1 million or more recently, according to New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.

But the Fannie bonuses are still considerable and come at a time when Fannie and Freddie are receiving increasing amounts of funding from the Treasury. For 2008, Fannie and Freddie reported combined losses of about $108 billion, largely stemming from a surge in home-mortgage defaults. The U.S. Treasury has agreed to provide as much as $200 billion of capital apiece to Fannie and Freddie in exchange for preferred stock. The two companies have said they will need a combined $60 billion of that money to cover their losses so far.

Does anyone remember Blackhawk Down?

Foolish Fools and the Fools that Report Them

I don’t know who to blame, the “experts” who believe that “Shabaab influence is fading” or the reporters that pass that info on to a country eager to return to the 9/10 status quo. People, let me break out the soapbox yet again.

1) Who are the Shabaab? They are al Qaeda’s affiliate in Somalia.

2) Why are they dangerous?

a) Because, unlike any other al Qaeda affiliate, they actually control large portions of a country. While their power is still limited, they are in fact the “government” of much of Somalia, including the capital of Mogadishu. Think of Afghanistan, but instead of the Taliban harboring al Qaeda imagine the country actually governed by al Qaeda.

b) Because a small segment of the Somali American community supports them. Luckily, most Somali Americans despise them. Unfortunately some second generation Somali Americans have bought into the Salaafi jihadi ideology espoused by Shabaab. Some of these American born and raised sympathizershave gone to Somalia to fight with Shabaab , including the only known American suicide bomber Shirwa Ahmed. And they have American passports. Think about it.

3) Is their influence waning? No. Their power is growing. Daily they take more territory and day by day they begin to implement Taliban style sharia law on those areas already under their control. It is doubtful they will ever fully control all of Somalia as Puntland and Somaliland are hostile to them, but remember that the Taliban never fully had control of all of Afghanistan either.

4) Is their influence among young Muslims waning? Unknown. Certainly interest and statements of support online by known American eHadis has increased since al Qaeda central has begunan open campaign of support for them.

The threat of the Shabaab is real. I am not certain how to quantify that threat, but if Shabaab is not already more of a threat than the Taliban and al Qaeda central, they soon will be.

You are now free to return to Starbucks and pretend nothing is happening.

YOUR NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS

YOUR NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS. I WONDERED IS THIS POSSIBLE,,??

SO I LOOKED IT UP IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER. SURE ENOUGH THERE IT WAS.

BELOW IS A LINK TO THE FEDERAL REGISTER WHERE IT WAS ENTERED.

THE FEDERAL REGISTER

President Barrack Obama has signed an executive order presidential determination allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to settle in the USA at American taxpayers expense. sure, what can go wrong when we allow hundreds of thousands of people who have been, as Mark Steyn memorably described, "marinated" in a "sick death cult" who voted for Hamas,?? and 55% of whom support suicide bombing/murders in the United States.

By executive order, Obama has ordered the expenditure of 20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinians. Egypt won't take em. Jordan won't take em. Saudi Arabia won't take em. All of the Arab countries---every one of them has allowed the Palestinians to fester for over 60 years. Meanwhile, generations after generations have become more and more radicalized. Their lives unproductive---they "live" to die as martyrs---yearning for the rewards of the world beyond.

The "presidential determination" will allow hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the USA. The determination was signed on January 27 09, and appeared in the federal register on Feb 4 09. President Obama's decision, according to the register, was necessitated by the "the urgent refugee and migration needs " of the victims.

Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Soooo Lets review some of Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated a little more than a couple of months ago.

1 His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.

2 His first one-on-one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.

3 He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials to detainees halted.

4 He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed

5 He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USSS Cole and 9/11

6 Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move in and live in the USA at American Taxpayers expense.

Why Do This ?

Obama Bails On Soldiers

If this were to go into effect, there would be several things that would come in to play for the Obama administration, in my humble opinion.

The first is it would be extremely unpopular to the military, and I would hope it would be unpopular in the civil community.

The over riding affect would be... who would hire an ex vet if they knew that they would have to pay the health care for any war wounded vet.

On top of that any health care that would be provided you can count on it being the worst possible available.

So you can imagine my horror when I read the headline that said, "The American Legion Strongly Opposed to President’s Plan to Charge Wounded Heroes for Treatment.” The lead paragraphs tells the story. I have copied them below.

“The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.
