Most of the planted areas around the park are done in desert. Almost all of the plants flower it is a matter of when. There are a couple that are blooming now,here is one. I will try again another day on this flower, However enjoy this one today.

As you walk around this park you come across this sign 2 or 3 times. Out side loop and inside loop distance to a mile.

There are several benches around the park so you are never too far from a rest point.

Sunrise in the New Park. Goynes Park it has 2 trails and a very nice baseball field with lights. It is located just West of Washburn and Allen just West of the North Las Vegas Police substation and just East of the Eva Wolf Elementary School.

In the course of this Financial Bail Out, I think every American should watch this. This investigation was 2004 - 2005 .

Today as the House votes for the Bailout Package the first vote was
228 NAY.
205 YEA. The Crap Sandwich goes down in flames!!!
I am sure they will vote again, the Dems own the House they wrote the bill, it should pass.

The real crime is WE should not be here in this situation in the first place. The investigation above on Youtube is only one of three that I found.

I know the market didn't like it when the Bill failed. It was down 660 points. I wonder where it will close.

As you can see there in the Youtube 4 or 5 of the folks that were the big stoppers of doing something about it in 2005 are writing the Bill they are voting on today.

It seems to me they should be under criminal investigation, not witting a new law to fix what they themselves caused.

As I get ready to post this, the market is Down 720 points.

Last of the Park ...

I totally enjoyed this park and will come back from time to time. You can walk all over this place and not get tiered of the scenery. The ducks and geese move and that changes what you see next time around. As I said it is quite clean. With the exception of a few geese bombs one morning I never had to navigate trash or dog poop.

Morning stroll and Parks

I had a great stroll this morning. Over the last 10 or 12 days I have been going to the park in Aliante. It has a Discovery park within the park. It has a small pond and we here in Vegas wonder how they got the permit to do that. The pond is quite nice and has ducks, geese and 1 stork that I saw.

The park has sidewalk and lighted walkway all the way to the Library a full block South of the park. That makes the outside loop in the park down to the library around the library and the walkway on the East side of the park back to the Discovery park is .9 Miles.

The park is very well kept! The whole time I have walk I have not seen 1 dog poop.!! Not even 1. There are a couple paved way across the walkway too, so you can change your walk often and not get board.

There are benches and or picnic tables all along the walkways so for those like me who need to rest often can. The whole park is quite pretty and as I said extremely well kept. As an example there was a Fall Festival held there Sunday they had 5 or so of those blow up fun houses where kids can go in and jump around on an inflated floor. Several game booths and several food stands. With all of that the park was still quite nice this morning.

There were trash picker uppers that came by about 6:30 this morning getting any little pieces of trash not in trash cans.

So this a very nice park.
I will post several pictures of the Discovery Park today you can see what the kids have to play with. I climbed all through the 2 towers and shot a few shots from up there.

If you watch this you will see,the Show Me state shows us a glimpse of our totalitarian future: "Truth Squads" are clamping down on people who say things Obamunists don't want to hear. Local law enforcement officials are involved throughout Missouri.

Citizens are obliged to believe that Obama is a Christian who wants to cut taxes. Failure to agree with these dubious assertions is regarded as "divisive"

You notice they are not checking "Truth Squads" on the other candidates. This seems to me as quite Totalitarian, and sounds as though it came from a group of Stalinist.

Oil Change

I ran into an old friend of mine yesterday. I wish I got a picture. Don't know where my brain was. Anyway her goal in life is to build a shelter for the homeless here in Vegas. Until that happens she works with several groups to help disabled, homeless, battered, and just plain needy. Her heart is in the right place. She was a teacher the last time I saw her. I can't remember but I think it was grade school. I can't believe she gave that career up but she said it just didn't allow enough time to help others. She has a "Higher" calling.

To do that she has started a new business. K&K Mobile Oil Change. Give her a call let her know the make and model of your auto and poof she arrives and changes your oil and filter, checks all fluids and then disposes, properly I should add, of all the waste oil and filters. Her website is here

North Star

Stopped by the North Star yesterday. Fri is teachers day I should try to get to know some of them. Several come every Fri and stay quite some time.
I saw Jeff whom I have mentioned several times but could not get a word in edge wise on his conversation. So there I was and didn't know anyone at the bar. So I make the best of that.

Lol, I just finished 3.3 mi and a stop at coffee shop. How do I look in suspenders? I wore them allot when I biked. Kinda nice not to have a belt. I think I will use em again for a while.





Well as I got back to the North end of the park, parking lot I noticed some flowers in the parking lot across the street. So I mosey on over there to check em out. Low to the ground and crawl all over. Looks like they have to trim em back or they take control of that flower bed.

Good morning all, I had a lite walk today got a late start. Flower for the day is a bright yellow orange, however the flowers are all on very long flimsy limbs and we had a nice breeze. I must have shot a dozen or so shots lol, reaching, wobbling on a cane it was a goat rodeo. LOL Anyway here is a shot or 2 of them. These are on the very South end of the park by the Library parking lot a good 3/4 mi S of the kids Discovery Park.

Morning stroll

This is a large Dinosaur just as you enter the kids park. More on the kids park tomorrow. Well I will enjoy this park before I go to another park.

West of the kids park. Plenty of benches so never have to go too far to rest. In front of the benches on this side is Rosemary. I think to keep the ducks away from the benches.??

This is North of the kids park,just North of the large falls. .... Sidewalk and benches every 2 or 3 hundred steps. Makes for strolling and stopping easy .

Wow I was full of piss and vinegar this morning 8206 steps 5.1 miles. Whew and I could have gone more. I wanted to save a little for this afternoon. I didn't get too many pics this morning but I share a few. This park has a really nice playground for children. I will use and did today the stairs on the slippery slide. Fairly challenging stairs LOL.

Almost surrounding this childcare's park called "The discovery Park" is a little pond with some falls.



Not a great use of water here in the desert. This park is quite new and I have to wonder after all the pissin and moaning the water authority has done the last 3 years about conserving. How in the world did Aliante get a permit to build the park. Now this park is part of the Vegas park system.

As I mentioned I went to a new park for me. I will go to all the parks within reasonable distance say less than 10 minutes drive. I will get my little morning stroll and compare flora, cleanliness, aesthetics, and where I walk I need benches.

So I will walk this park for a few days and the others to see what I think of them.

I will provide pictures to help my descriptions. This park is "Aliante" park. It is part of the Aliante total development. Houses of all sizes, shopping, golf course, (I hear is quite nice) and casino.

Anyway I will enjoy their park for a few days.

Morning stroll

Went to a new park for me... Aliente just North of me maybe a mile or so. Pretty good breez and 65* cool compared to the last few mornings.

That is about a 20' flag so you can see the breeze about has it 1/3 out from the mast.
